Over the last few months there’s been a lot of movement in the pro wrestling world and now it seems that another notable name is no longer under contract with AEW. Fightful Select reports that as of today Matt Hardy is no longer with All Elite Wrestling and is now officially a free agent. According to the report the word within the company was that Matt Hardy’s contract was actually extended through WrestleMania.
Matt Hardy and All Elite Wrestling had talks, but Hardy did not sign the new deal that was offered to him, and told people close to him that he was allowing his deal to lapse.
During a recent episode of his Extreme Life podcast Matt Hardy confirmed that he had been offered a new AEW contract, but stated that he was weighing his options. Matt also went said that he only has a few years left and he wants to make the most of those years.
