Monday night was not a good night for Matt Hardy. He was advertised for a No Holds Barred Match against Randy Orton, but when the show went live Orton revealed that Matt Hardy had not been cleared to compete.
Hardy still made his way to the ring in a neck brace, and he made it clear that he was looking for a fight.
Randy Orton then proceeded to absolutely destroy Matt Hardy, and he was later stretchered out of the arena.
Following the brutal beating, Matt took to Twitter to tease that his, “#BROKEN pieces won’t be lost in limbo forever.”
Hardy also teased the resurrection of Broken Matt in his latest Free The Delete video.
Matt’s current WWE contract is set to expire on March 1st, and although nothing has been confirmed it’s been speculated that he will be going to All Elite Wrestling once he’s a free agent.
