Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown took place from the WWE Performance Center with no audience in attendance.
The episode featured the return of Jeff Hardy who faced King Corbin, and Hardy managed to pick up the victory.
During the match Jeff Hardy hit the Twist of Fate, which Michael Cole referred to as the Twist of Fury, and it was rumored that WWE changed the name because Matt Hardy trademarked Twist of Fate.
Matt Hardy took to Twitter to shoot this rumor down when he posted the following:
“I DID NOT. The @WWE & Jeff are completely free to use “Twist of Fate.” The change 100% came on their end. I wouldn’t ever do anything to hinder my brother. I’m thrilled to see him back on #WWE TV, looking healthy & happy.”
