Impact Wrestling just debuted a new creative administration and the company also said goodbye to a few familiar names. They lost a handful of high profile stars including the Broken Hardys who were the Impact Tag Team Champions when their contracts expired.

At last week’s Impact tapings, Bruce Prichard pulled out the Impact Tag Team Titles and announced a match to determine their new rightful owners. Impact crowned new champions during the recent tapings, but the question remained as to how they got the belts back from the Hardys in the first place seeing how nobody else in Impact Wrestling possessed the ability to travel through space and time like Matt and Jeff.
When one fan asked Broken Matt Hardy how he can still lay claim to the TNA Tag Team Titles, he had a very rational response in regards to how the new Impact Wrestling heads are pulling off the conspiracy.
In another update to the Broken Hardy soap opera, Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Matt Hardy has officially filed a trademark on his own name. Hardy’s previous deal with Impact Wrestling gave them the chance to profit from his Broken gimmick as long as he was with the company, but now that he is gone that has run its course.
Although Impact might reject that previous claim, one Matthew Hardy filed a standard character trademark for the name “Broken Matt Hardy.” Impact Wrestling’s attorneys can still oppose this, but they only have a certain amount of time before their attempts will be rendered obsolete.
