Match Pulled From AEW Dark After Wrestler’s Controversial Tweets Resurface

Cody Rhodes isn’t just an on screen talent in All Elite Wrestling, he’s also an Executive Vice President. Cody’s role carries a lot of responsibility, but he always takes the time to interact with fans on social media.

Tuesday’s episode of AEW Dark was originally set to feature Shawn Spears vs. independent wrestler Clutch Adams, but the match has been removed after a fan brought some old tweets from 2013 to Cody’s attention.

The fan posted a screenshot of racist and homophobic tweets from Adams along with the following caption:

“Is this the kind of guy you’re gonna promote? Thought you guys were about inclusivity @AEWrestling @TonyKhan @CodyRhodes @kennyomegamanx”

Cody Rhodes quickly let the fan know that the match has been removed from AEW Dark.
