The Rock and Triple H have both had amazing careers. It’s crazy to think about the massive stars they are today and look back at this match. Both The Rock and Triple H a known worldwide but back at SummerSlam 1998 these two were still trying to make a name for themselves.
DX and The Nation had been feuding for quite a while and it all boiled over when The Rock took on Triple H in a ladder match for the intercontinental title. This match is fun because a ladder match doesn’t really compliment either man’s style all that well but they make it work. Ladder matches are typically thought to be a match for high flyers which Triple H and The Rock are not.
Despite the fact that they’re both out of their element, Triple H and The Rock pulled out all the stops and put on a match that is still being talked about all these years later.
