Randy Orton is now one of WWE’s top superstars but back in 2004 he was still trying to climb the ladder. He was trying to get to the top of the company by taking out some of WWE’s greatest superstars and becoming The Legend Killer. Randy had taken out quite a few with ease but it was a different story when he got involved with Mick Foley.
Never one to take anything lying down, Mick Foley gave Randy Orton the fight of his life over the duration of this feud but their match at Backlash 2004 took the feud to a whole new level. This match is well known for being one of the most brutal and violent matches in company history and it’s certainly not for the weak at heart. This contest not only solidified Randy Orton as a future main event player but also reminded everyone just what Mick Foley is capable of.
