When WCW was bought out by WWE the company was in a predicament as they had two world titles. When the dust had settled after Survivor Series WWE decided they would unify the titles and crown one undisputed champion at Vengeance.
These two matches are one of Chris Jericho’s big claim to fame. In one night he defeated both Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, two of the biggest stars to ever step foot in a wrestling ring. By defeating those two icons Chris Jericho solidified himself as a major player in the game and earned the right to brag about his victory for the rest of his career.
A lot has happened to the two world titles since but this is truly an epic moment in wrestling history.
