Mark Henry Talks About Racism In WWE, Turning Down A Gimmick

The Huffington Post has an article here about their show yesterday with Marc Lamont Hill talking to Mark Henry about racism in WWE, stemming from the controversial article that appeared in The Atlantic last week. Henry discussed turning down the “Silverback” nickname, which references a silverback gorilla.

“A lot of people remember the Silverback thing,” Henry said. “Honestly, I could not do it. I told them: ‘I can’t do that. I got two little black kids at home.'”
