On Saturday night the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony aired live on the WWE Network, and Bret Hart was inducted on behalf of The Hart Foundation.
During Bret’s speech, and unruly fan rushed the ring and tackled the WWE Hall of Famer. The man was later identified as Zachary Madsen.
1011Now.com is reporting that Madsen is facing two counts of assault, one count of trespassing, and one count of violation of local law in New York for attack Bret. He is currently out on bond.
It was noted that Madsen is also facing charges from three ongoing cases. One of the cases is from 2018 and the other two are from 2019.
When asked in court why he did it, Madsen said that he “just felt like it was the right moment” to attack The Hitman according to ABC News.
A Brooklyn judge issue protection orders which prevent Madsen from going near Hart, or Thaddeus Jones, a security guard for WWE, was also injured during the attack.
