This week on Friday Night SmackDown, Roman Reigns successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle in the main event. When it was all said and done Roman celebrated with The Bloodline, but their celebration was cut short when Brock Lesnar made his surprise return.
The Beast Incarnate made his way to the ring and he confronted Roman Reigns while extending his hand for a handshake. When Roman Reigns accepted the handshake Brock Lesnar hit him with the F5, and then he followed up by hitting both of The Usos with the F5 to end the show.
WWE followed up on Brock Lesnar’s big return when they confirmed that The Beast will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam with the following announcement:
WWE SummerSlam will take place from the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN on Saturday, July 30th. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
