We’re less than a week away from the annual WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, and then all eyes will be looking ahead to SummerSlam in August.
WWE officials had high hopes that they would be able to hold SummerSlam in front of an audience this year, but it was recently confirmed that the show will take place from the Performance Center.
WrestleVotes is now reporting that the projected SummerSlam card WWE had in place a few months ago has been torn up.
The lack of audience and Edge’s injury apparently played a big part in the changes for the show. It’s also being said that due to the lack of fans WWE has little desire to book Brock Lesnar for the show.
Two major matches were reportedly scrapped, but it’s not clear what those matches were.
Stay tuned for more updates on SummerSlam as they become available.
