Becky Lynch has been a very hot topic recently as it’s been reported that her current WWE contract is set to expire on June 1st. With only a few days left on her deal there’s been a lot of speculation regarding what the future holds for The Man.
Wade Keller of PWTorch.com is reporting that multiple sources have indicated Becky Lynch will be taking a hiatus from WWE. It’s also being reported that Becky Lynch has told people she is not going to AEW imminently.
It’s not clear at this point in time if Becky Lynch is taking a hiatus to spend more time at home, take a break from the grind, or if there’s frustration with her contract offer from WWE.
A colleague of Lynch noted that they believe she will return to the company someday and they’re confident a deal will be worked out, but her body and mind could use a break.
Over the weekend Becky Lynch dropped the WWE Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event. Becky got her rematch on Raw when she challenged for the title in a steel cage match, but Liv Morgan picked up the win once again. It’s believed that the fast turnaround for the rematch was so WWE could fit in one more TV main event with Becky Lynch before her deal expired.
