Last week the WWE SummerSlam premium live event took place from Ford Field in Detroit and Brock Lesnar faced off against Cody Rhodes for a third time. Cody Rhodes defeated Brock Lesnar and after the match The Beast Incarnate showed respect to The American Nightmare when he shook his hand.
While exact details regarding the injury were not disclosed the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Brock Lesnar was injured early on in the match. It’s not clear what type of injury Brock suffered, but either way there are no plans for him to return to TV any time soon.
According to the report the current plan is for Brock Lesnar to return to television in a few months to build up the Royal Rumble then from there move on to WrestleMania.
It was also noted that even though it’s not in the plans right now it’s always possible that Brock Lesnar could work the next WWE event in Saudi Arabia in November. If someone else gets injured they could always bring Brock in for the event.
