For months now tension has been boiling over within The Bloodline and the drama got taken to a whole new lever over the last week or so. At SummerSlam, Jey Uso challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, but Jey lost the match after his brother Jimmy interfered and hit Jey with a superkick.
This week on Friday Night SmackDown, Jimmy Uso said that he prevented Jey from winning the main event at SummerSlam because he didn’t want him to gain power and lose himself like Roman Reigns did. Jimmy told Jey that he did what he did because he loves him, but it seems that all is not well between The Usos.
Before SmackDown went off the air Jey Uso superkicked Jimmy and declared that he’s done with WWE before leaving through the crowd. WWE has not doubled down on the storyline Jey Uso has been removed from the official roster and moved to the alumni section of the company’s website.
WWE certainly threw a curveball at the fans on Friday and it’s not clear where things will go from here, but it will be interesting to see how Jey is eventually brought back into the mix. Stay tuned for updates.
