WWE announced a few months ago that Money in the Bank would be undergoing a huge change this year, as it will be a dual-branded pay-per-view. In a sense that announcement doesn’t seem all that groundbreaking anymore considering the fact that brand exclusive pay-per-views will be coming to an end soon, but it’s still a sign that Money in the Bank has become one of the biggest events on WWE’s PPV schedule.
This year’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view is set to take place from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL, and the official Allstate Arena website has shared some interesting details about the upcoming event.
The site is advertising that there will be another women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, and it’s also advertising that stars from Raw and SmackDown Live will be competing in both ladder matches.
So even though the event will be dual branded, it seems that there will only be one Money in the Bank briefcase for each division, as opposed to multiple briefcases for each brand.
This means that one of the briefcases could end up on Raw, with the other on SmackDown Live, or vice versa. It also means that both briefcases could potentially end up on one show.
Either way this could make for some interesting moments following the pay-per-view.
