The wrestling world has been buzzing about “Stone Cold” Steve Austin recently as it was recently reported that WWE is trying to get Austin to return to the ring at WrestleMania 38 in April.
Dave Meltzer shared an update on the proposed Austin match on Wrestling Observer Radio and he noted that Steve Austin vs. Kevin Owens is currently on the card for WrestleMania 38. At this point in time it is not clear if the match will take place during night 1 or night 2 of the big event.
Steve Austin last competed at WrestleMania 19 where he was defeated by The Rock. Over the years there’s been a lot of talk about a potential return for Austin but he’s been adamant that he wanted to stay retired.
This week on Monday Night Raw Kevin Owens seemingly kicked off a potential feud with Austin when he did an angle where he trash talked the state of Texas. Stay tuned for more updates on Steve Austin’s return as they become available.
