Edge wrestled the last match on his WWE contract back in August when he faced off against Sheamus in Toronto, and now everyone’s waiting to see what’s next for the Rated R Superstar.
There’s been a lot of speculation that Edge could be heading to AEW, and Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Edge could technically show up at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view on Sunday because his WWE contract is set to expire on Saturday.
It was also speculated that if Edge does indeed show up at WrestleDream he could get involved with Christian’s match somehow. Currently Christian is scheduled to defend the TNT Championship against Darby Allin at the event. Meltzer went on to add that as of a few weeks ago people in WWE believed that Edge was heading to AEW.
Only time will tell whether or not Edge shows up at WrestleDream, but either way it’s going to be interesting to see where Edge turns up once he officially becomes a free agent.
