Back in September the TKO merger was completed. Vince McMahon is currently an Executive Chairman at TKO Holdings Group, but he recently got people talking about his status with the company when he sold $700 million in TKO stock. The sell off led to speculation that Vince might be looking to step away from WWE. However, that does not appear to be the case.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that Vince McMahon has no intentions of leaving WWE according to sources within the company. It was also noted that Vince McMahon sold a big portion of his stock because he needed liquid money, but the reason why he needed the money is unknown.
Multiple sources have indicated that Vince McMahon has no plans to stop working for WWE at this time. Even though Vince’s role with WWE has shifted it’s being said that he still wields great power within the company.
Currently Vince McMahon is handling things that are assigned to him by Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, and their relationship has remained positive following the TKO merger. Vince McMahon is expected to remain a fixture at WWE.
