Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of Raw back in May and since then there’s been a lot of speculation about what the future holds for them.
Fightful Select reports that they confirmed Sasha’s WWE departure was negotiated months ago, likely when it was reported by Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc. However, WWE hasn’t officially announced the departure which is why Sasha is still on the company website.
Sasha Banks will be able to take wrestling related bookings after January 1st and it was noted that those terms were contractual. It’s being said that WrestleCade was far from the only wrestling related operation trying to book Sasha Banks. Conventions reportedly went to great lengths to book her before January 1st, but it didn’t happen.
It was recently reported that Sasha Banks will be at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom and that deal was agreed upon as far back as the last week of November. People familiar with that deal noted that they haven’t heard anything about Sasha working with AEW while stating that it doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen.
