Randy Orton has had a consistent presence on WWE programming for two decades now, but it’s been months since fans have seen The Viper n the ring. Orton last competed back in May when RK-Bro dropped the Raw Tag Team Titles to The Usos and he’s been out of action ever since due to a back injury.
Fightful Select reports that Randy Orton required a fusion in his lower back which is expected to keep him out of action for an extended amount of time. Orton already underwent surgery although it’s not known when the surgery took place.
As of right now there are no creative plans for Randy Orton and there is no timetable for him to return. Some people in WWE noted that they would be fortunate to have Randy back after the significant injury.
People in the company also said that when he was initially injured Randy Orton insisted that he would return to WWE. Stay tuned for updates.
