Major Update On Plans For Steve Austin At WWE WrestleMania 38

For weeks now Kevin Owens has been talking trash about the state of Texas, and during the most recent episode of Raw the former Universal Champion called out “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and invited him to WrestleMania 38. Austin later accepted the invitation and announced that he’ll be opening up one more can of whoop-ass when he confronts Owens at Mania.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Steve Austin agreed to do a fight sequence at WrestleMania, but not a full match. WWE is still advertising the segment as Austin’s first physical confrontation in 19 years.

The confrontation between Kevin Owens and Steve Austin is being billed as the Kevin Owens Show, and as far as the physical stuff goes it’s planned that there will be more than just a stunner. However, the stunner is expected to be the conclusion of the confrontation.

There was still talk of of Austin working an angle to lead to a match if he were to agree to it, but the company wanted to announce him for WrestleMania this week. It’s also worth noting that Steve Austin has recently been upping his cardio for the fight sequence. Stay tuned for updates.
