Sasha Banks is currently in Japan and it’s expected that she will be making an appearance at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17. Naomi has also confirmed that she’s in Japan and it’s believed that she’ll be attending Wrestle Kingdom to support her tag team partner. However, fans shouldn’t expect to see Naomi appear at the event.
Bryan Alvarez recently shared an update on Naomi’s status on Wrestling Observer Live and he noted that Naomi will not be going to New Japan Pro Wrestling. Alvarez also noted that he’s currently under the impression that Naomi will certainly be returning to WWE.
Naomi and Sasha Banks both walked out of Monday Night Raw back in May of last year and WWE later announced that both women had been suspended and the Women’s Tag Team Titles had been vacated. In the months that followed there were a lot of questions regarding their status, but if this latest report is correct then it sounds like Naomi will be back on WWE programming at some point.
Stay tuned for more updates on Naomi’s status as they become available.
