Last year Naomi and Sasha Banks both parted ways with WWE, and since then wrestling fans have had a lot of questions. Sasha Banks has since resurfaced in Japan as Mercedes Mone, but Trinity Fatu (Naomi) has yet to return to the world of professional wrestling. Earlier this month Trinity confirmed that she is done with WWE and she also confirmed that she’s not done with wrestling.
Impact Wrestling has been teasing a surprise for the TV tapings in Chicago this weekend, and PWInsider is reporting that the surprise is none other than former SmackDown Women’s Champion Trinity Fatu.
It was also noted that this is not a one time appearance for Trinity, so it appears that she’ll be setting up a match for a future Impact Wrestling event. In recent months Trinity has been backstage at NJPW, GCW and ROH events.
Fightful Select is reporting that at one point WWE felt confident that they would be able to bring Trinity back to the company, but it was noted that there have been no main roster hires so far in 2023. Stay tuned for updates.
