Edge first made his return to the ring at the 2020 Royal Rumble, and since then he’s gone on to add a whole new chapter to his career. The Rated R Superstar has been a part of some heated feuds on WWE programming over the last few years, but it looks like he could be parting ways with the company.
BWE is reporting that Edge is apparently closer than ever to joining All Elite Wrestling. It was also noted that it’s doubtful WWE will try to make a big money move to keep Edge.
Edge last wrestled on the August 18th episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Toronto. He defeated Edge in their first ever one on one match, and ahead of the match he had confirmed that it was the last bout on his WWE contract.
There’s currently no word on when Edge could debut with AEW if he does indeed sign with AEW, but the former champion noted that his contract with WWE is set to expire in late September. Stay tuned for updates.
