Cody Rhodes has been on quite the rollercoaster ride since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38 back in April. Rhodes has picked up three victories over Seth Rollins over the last few months, but unfortunately for Cody he suffered a torn pectoral tendon prior to their match at Hell in a Cell
The American Nightmare still stepped into the ring to compete at Hell in a Cell and his performance was praised by many. The next night WWE wrote him off TV when Seth Rollins attacked Cody with a sledgehammer on Raw.
WWE recently posted an update on Cody’s status confirming that he’s expected to be out of action for nine months after undergoing surgery on Thursday.

This is unfortunate for Rhodes, but other Superstars who have suffered similar injuries have been able to return in shorter timeframes, so hopefully that’s the case for Cody.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
