Chris Jericho’s status has been a very hot topic for months now as everyone has been wondering if Jericho could be making his way back to WWE. Ahead of Raw’s one year anniversary on Netflix it was rumored that Jericho could make his return during the show, but ultimately it didn’t happen.

PWInsider is reporting that just like last week there are no creative plans for Chris Jericho to appear live on Monday Night Raw tonight. It’s worth noting that as of this writing Chris Jericho is still featured on the official roster page on AEW’s website.

Recently WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross commented on Jericho’s future on Grilling JR and noted that he believes Jericho will either return to WWE, or stay where he is rather than entertain other options.

“I think it’s WWE or nothing for Jericho. He’s happy. He seems to be happy. He’s got a lot of influence at AEW. To simplify it, he books his own angles. He works with the creative guys, and they communicate well. Chris doesn’t come empty-handed—he’s always got a plan.

But I think his goal, if it is to leave AEW where he’s got a great deal—and I’m under the impression he does have a great deal—then I think it’s WWE or he stays where he is. I don’t think the TNA Wrestling thing plays into it. But I could be wrong. Money changes a lot of opinion and a lot of sentiment.

I hope he doesn’t leave [AEW]. He’s a valuable member of AEW. I know he does a lot of things that people never see, as far as helping talent and counseling talent, coming up with ideas, and so forth. I think Tony Khan needs guys like Chris Jericho around to contribute ideas.”

Stay tuned for updates.
