Brock Lesnar has been one of the top stars in professional wrestling for decades now and on Saturday night he faced off against Cody Rhodes for a third time at SummerSlam in Detroit. The Beast Incarnate and The American Nightmare went to war, but in the end it was Cody Rhodes who picked up a victory over Lesnar for the second time in his career.
After the match Brock Lesnar confronted Cody Rhodes and then he shocked the world when he hugged Cody then held up Cody’s arm in celebration. Now that Brock Lesnar’s feud with Cody Rhodes seems to be over fans can’t help but wonder what’s next for him.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that following SummerSlam the expectation is that Brock Lesnar will be out of action for a while, but not too long. Lesnar is being advertised for the Fastlane premium live event in October. It’s not clear if he could return at Fastlane or possibly sometime before to set up a match for the show.
