Becky Lynch’s WWE contract expired a few months ago and she finished up with the company. It’s not clear at this point in time if Becky has any plans to return in the future, but for now she’s a free agent.
The Man’s A&E Legends biography aired on Sunday night, and she got people talking when shared a post on Instagram with the following caption:
“It’s been a helluva career. Being the Man for all of you was an honor, being the mom for her is a privilege. Thanks for watching my bio on @AETV.”
Some people took that as Becky Lynch announcing her retirement which had led to a lot of speculation. Fightful Select is reporting that sources in WWE have said that if Becky Lynch retired in an official capacity then they haven’t heard about it. However, one source noted that since Becky Lynch isn’t under contract she could retire without notifying the company if that’s what she decided to do.
WWE sources have also stated that Becky is enjoying her time off and they want to be respectful of her space due to what she’s given the company over the years. It’s also being said that she would always be welcomed back in WWE.
When Becky’s contract expired a few months ago both sides believed that she would be back when the time is right.
