Over the last few years several names have been trying to break through to the next level in professional wrestling, and Jade Cargill has been one of the stars to watch in AEW. Now it seems that Cargill could be WWE bound.
Fightful Select is reporting that Jade Cargill effectively finished up with AEW at the recent TV tapings in Cincinnati. People in WWE who have spoken on the subject believe that Cargill’s deal could be structured in a way that could see her sign with the company imminently. There was talk of Jade Cargill holding option years with AEW, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
There’s no word on why Jade Cargill is specifically looking to make the move, but one source noted that it’s not financially motivated. When Jade Cargill returned backstage after her match in Cincinnati she was greeted with hugs, and it was seen as her farewell to AEW. Some people in the company believe she’s headed to WWE, but it’s not known if she specifically stated that. Jade Cargill reportedly told people she’s going to focus on her family and softball team she owns with Brandon Phillips.
As early as last week some top WWE stars had heard Jade Cargill would be joining the company, and it was a topic of discussion backstage at Monday Night Raw.
