The Royal Rumble has come and gone which means that all eyes are looking ahead to Elimination Chamber. The show will continue to set the stage for WrestleMania 42, and it sounds like a big title match is being considered for the event later this month.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that one proposed idea for Elimination Chamber would see Finn Balor challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.
According to Sean Ross Sapp the plan has long been for CM Punk to compete at the Elimination Chamber premium live event in some capacity as the show is in his hometown of Chicago. One plan Sapp heard of was for CM Punk to accept a rematch with Finn Balor on “his turf” after he defended the title against Balor on Raw in Northern Ireland.
The 2026 Elimination Chamber premium live event will emanate from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on February 28. Triple H recently confirmed that the winners of the men’s and women’s chamber matches will earn the right to challenge for a title at WrestleMania 42 in April.
Stay tuned for updates.
