They say that anything can happen when you watch WWE programming, and this week on Friday Night SmackDown fans saw Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura defend his title against Sami Zayn.
Zayn has been taunting Shinsuke Nakamura for some time now, and when it was all said and done a new champion was crowned as Sami Zayn walked out of SmackDown with the Intercontinental Title.
Throughout the course of the match Sami Zayn targeted Shinsuke Nakamura’s knee, and at one point he sent him knee first into the steel ring steps. The end of the match came when Sami blocked a kick from Nakamura then Sami followed up by kicking Nakamura’s knee and rolling him up for the win.
Sami Zayn is now a three time WWE Intercontinental Champion. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
