This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was the 250th episode of the show and it kicked off in a big way. Will Ospreay defended the AEW International Championship against MJF in the opening match, and the two AEW stars fought for a full hour.
The match was action packed as MJF and Will Ospreay battled through the crowd and throughout the ringside area. Near the end of the match it seemed that Ospreay had it won as he picked up MJF for the Tiger Driver 91. However, Ospreay hesitated and he looked conflicted he decided not to hit the move.
The referee got knocked down and while he was down MJF hit Ospreay with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. After Ospreay went down the referee counted the pin with only a few seconds left to go in the match.
After the match the International Championship was placed on MJF. AEW officials put an oxygen mask on MJF’s face as they helped him up. Max celebrated with the title as he seemingly struggled to. stand
