This week AEW and NXT went head to head and Dynamite was being promoted as a special Title Tuesday edition of the show. In the first title match of the night Orange Cassidy defeated Rey Fenix to become the first two time AEW International Champion, and another big title change took place later in the night.
Saraya defended her AEW Women’s Championship against Hikaru Shida on Tuesday night, and Shida shocked the world when she defeated Saraya to win the gold.
At one point Hikaru Shida was outside the ring and someone in a mask came out of the crowd as they tried to ambush her. Shida removed the mask and it was revealed to be Ruby Soho who tried to spray Shida with the green paint, but Shida ended up spraying Ruby instead. Toni Storm them came out and chased Ruby away through the crowd.
The end of the match came when Hikaru Shida went for a Falcon Arrow then pinned Saraya, but Saraya reversed it into a roll up which Shida reversed into a roll up of her own to win the AEW Women’s Championship.
After the match Hikaru Shida celebrated with the belt as the commentators pointed out that she is the first ever three time AEW Women’s Champion in company history.
