The last few weeks have been action packed for the stars of the WWE main roster, and on Tuesday night the stars of NXT got their chance to shine at New Year’s Evil.
Bron Breakker has been one of the stars to watch ever since NXT relaunched as NXT 2.0 a few months ago, and at New Year’s Evil he challenged Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship in the main event.
Ciampa and Breakker competed in a hard fought match which saw Breakker put Ciampa through the announce table with an Alabama Slam, and in the end it was Bron Breakker who walked out with the gold.
The end of the match came when Bron Breakker jumped off the middle rope and hit Ciampa with a bulldog, then Breakker made Ciampa tap out to the Steiner Recliner. After the match Ciampa gave Breakker a nod of approval as Breakker celebrated to close the show.
