SummerSlam is set to air live from Cleveland on Saturday night, and Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa at the event. Ahead of their title match at SummerSlam, Cody and Solo met in the ring this week on SmackDown.
Cody mentioned how he beat Roman Reigns in a Bloodline Rules match. Solo said that when Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Roman was a weak Tribal Chief. The fans booed. Solo pointed out how Cody mentioned the Bloodline Rules stipulation.
Solo Sikoa told Cody to put his money where his mouth is and make the title match at SummerSlam a Bloodline Rules match. Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa then entered through the crowd and surrounded the ring.
Cody Rhodes addressed the other members of The Bloodline as they stood up on the apron and said that he’s not afraid of them. The American Nightmare then acknowledged that it might not be a smart decision, but he accepted the Bloodline Rules stipulation. The fans then chanted for Roman Reigns.
Solo told Cody that if he snaps his fingers The Bloodline will tear him apart. However, he’s not going to do that because tonight the tag team titles are coming back to The Bloodline, and tomorrow night the Undisputed WWE Championship is coming back to The Bloodline too.
Rhodes told Solo that he doesn’t have to fight his family, all he has to do is defeat The Tribal Chief, and since The Tribal Chief isn’t here he’ll settle for the wannabe. Solo and Cody then stared each other down as Solo and The Bloodline made their exit.
