It seems that WWE is locking down some of their biggest stars with new deals as PWInsider reported that Dominik Mysterio signed a new contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, and it looks like he’s not the only Mysterio who signed recently.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Rey Mysterio re-signed with WWE on Monday. Mysterio returned to WWE in 2018 and kicked off a successful run which has included 3 United States Title reigns, a SmackDown Tag Team Championship reign with his son Dominik, and a WWE Hall of Fame induction.

In recent months Rey Mysterio has been positioned as the leader of the LWO, but he was written off TV last month when Santos Escobar turned heel. A few days later Rey Mysterio underwent successful knee surgery and he’s expected to be out of action for several weeks.

Even though Rey is currently sidelined he recently appeared at NXT Deadline to support Dragon Lee in his NXT North American Championship match against Dominik Mysterio. Ultimately Dragon Lee defeated Dominik and managed to win the NXT North American Championship for the first time in his career.
