The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments kicked off a few weeks ago and two semifinal matches are set to air on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown which is being taped in Saudi Arabia.
Nia Jax faced off against Bianca Belair in the semifinals of the Queen of the Ring tournament on SmackDown, and it was Nia Jax who picked up the win. Jax will now go on to face Lyra Valkyria in the finals on Saturday.
Randy Orton also faced off against Tama Tonga in the semifinals on SmackDown and it was Orton who scored the victory. The Viper will now go on to face off against Gunther in the finals at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event.
As we previously reported Triple H has confirmed that the King and Queen of the Ring winners will earn a world title shot at SummerSlam in August. Stay tuned for updates.
