WrestleMania 39 is quickly approaching and the card has been coming together over the last few weeks. Things have been heating up in the WWE women’s tag team division as Lita & Becky Lynch captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on Monday Night Raw last week.
It’s been rumored for some time now that Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler would be challenging for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania and it appears that’s still the plan.
Bryan Alvarez recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Ronda Rousey re-aggravated a non-serious injury, but the hope is that she will be back in the ring soon. Dave Meltzer added that it’s not clear when Ronda will be able to return to the ring, but the hope is that Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler will win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the Grandest Stage of Them All. The original plan was for Rousey & Baszler to win the belts at WrestleMania, and WWE is still hoping to make that happen.
At this point in time it’s not clear how things will play out or who Rousey & Baszler will be challenging as it was recently reported that WWE is planning some twists and turns for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title picture on the road to Mania. WrestleMania 39 will air live from SoFi Stadium on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2. The current card for the event can be seen below.
