Major Spoiler On Planned Main Event For SummerSlam

SummerSlam has been one of WWE’s biggest annual shows for decades now and this year the event is set to take place from Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, OH. So far no matches have been officially announced for the show, but it seems that WWE is setting the stage for a big main event.

Dave Meltzer recently noted during an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that as of right now the Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship is the planned main event for SummerSlam.

Cody’s feud with The Bloodline picked up once again at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event and things escalated last week when Jacob Fatu debuted and took out Cody, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens on SmackDown.

It has been confirmed that Gunther will challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, and Nia Jax will challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship. Currently those titles are held by Damian Priest and Bayley respectively, but anything can change between now and SummerSlam.

Stay tuned for updates.
