Major Spoiler On Huge Feud Planned For CM Punk Following WWE Return

CM Punk is officially back on the WWE roster and The Second City Saint made his first appearance on Raw in nearly a decade during Monday’s episode. Now that Punk is back in WWE everyone is wondering who he could be feuding with moving forward.

Sports Illustrated is reporting that there are plans for CM Punk to feud with Roman Reigns. However, CM Punk will be feuding with Seth Rollins first. It’s also being reported that Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk is not one of the current favorites for the spot, but there’s always a possibility that the match could main event night one of WrestleMania 40. It was also noted that CM Punk’s return to WWE was strategic as WWE is currently working on a lucrative new media rights deal.

Multiple members of the WWE roster reportedly confirmed there are concerns about how Punk will integrate himself into the locker room. AEW talent who spoke in the subject noted that CM Punk would likely be on his best behavior during the beginning of his run with WWE. Multiple people pointed out that CM Punk’s runs with wrestling promotions have a history of not ending well, but the belief among WWE talent is that the WWE locker room is far more united that the AEW locker room.

WWE didn’t chase CM Punk as he opened the line of communication between the two sides, and it’s being said that he agreed to what was asked of him before he signed his new contract.
