Following this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho’s challenger for the ROH World Title at Final Battle was revealed during the ROH TV tapings.
According to F4Wonline.com, Chris Jericho came out for a segment with Bryan Keith and said that he wants to face someone from New York at ROH Final Battle.
Chris Jericho listed names such as Tony Soprano, Frank Sinatra and Johnny Rodz, but it was Matt Cardona who came out. During the segment Jericho started to refer to Cardona as Zack Ryder when he said, “If it isn’t Zack…”
Matt Cardona reportedly grabbed the mic and cut Chris Jericho off then responded with, “Zack is dead. The man who’s going to beat you at Final Battle is Matt Cardona.” After that Matt Cardona knocked a cowboy hat off of Chris Jericho’s head then backed out of the ring.
