You never know who might return when you watch AEW programming and it sounds like a former WWE Champion could be making their return sooner than later. Chris Jericho has been feuding with Will Hobbs recently, and last week during Dynamite, Jericho teased that he has friends bigger than Hobbs. The comments from Jericho led to a lot of speculation on social media about Paul Wight possibly returning.
Fightful Select reports that as of last week the working plan was for Paul Wight to return and work some sort of match at Full Gear. Paul Wight last wrestled for AEW when he competed on an episode of Dark: Elevation in March of 2022.
It’s being reported that at one point Paul Wight was discussed for a potential match with Satnam Singh at the All In pay-per-view a few months ago, but that didn’t end up happening.
Chris Jericho and Paul Wight previously teamed together in WWE as Jeri-Show, and it’s worth noting that Chris Jericho filed to trademark “Jeri-Show” earlier this year.
