Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion, and The American Nightmare has proved to be a fighting champion in recent months.
Last week Cody Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles at Clash at the Castle. However, his victory celebration was short lived as Rhodes was attacked by The Bloodline shortly after. Luckily for Cody Rhodes he was saved by Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that current plans call for Cody Rhodes to face Solo Sikoa at the SummerSlam premium live event in August, not Money in the Bank. There’s currently no word on whether or not WWE has plans for Cody Rhodes to defend his title at Money in the Bank.
Roman Reigns has not appeared on WWE programming since he dropped the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40, but he recently gave fans a hint regarding how he feels about the changes Solo Sikoa has made to The Bloodline, and you can get more on that here.
