Next week the stars of WWE will be heading to Saudi Arabia for the Elimination Chamber premium live event, so the company taped the 2/18 episode of SmackDown following last night’s episode.
During the tapings Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to become the new Intercontinental Champion. WWE posted the following announcement confirming the spoiler:
“A new champion was crowned during SmackDown tapings
During a special SmackDown taping on Feb. 11, Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to capture the Intercontinental Championship.
Tune in to SmackDown next Friday at 8/7 C on FOX to see how The Master Strategist emerged victorious in the hard-fought battle for the gold!”
