It’s a special week for WWE as fans are set to return after a long absence, and the Money in the Bank pay-per-view is set to air live on Sunday night.
After the Money in the Bank pay-per-view has concluded all eyes will be looking ahead to SummerSlam, and it’s been rumored that WWE wants to make the show a WrestleMania level event.
Fightful Select is now reporting that current plans call for WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg to return to the ring at SummerSlam. As of today the plan was for Goldberg to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at the event.
It sounds like fans could be seeing Goldberg sooner than later as it’s also being reported that he’ll be returning to TV during the post Money in the Bank episode of Raw on Monday.
SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
