Ever since Asuka made her debut she’s been a force to be reckoned with in NXT. Up until recently she was the NXT Women’s Champion, but even though there’s no denying that her title reign was impressive, fans were even more impressed by her undefeated streak.
Asuka remained undefeated throughout the entirety of her NXT run, and she even managed to surpass Goldberg’s historic streak from his WCW days. But now her NXT run has come to an end, as she recently vacated the NXT Championship after she broke her collarbone while defending the belt against Ember Moon at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III back in August.
After she vacated the title, WWE confirmed that The Empress of Tomorrow will be heading to the main roster with her undefeated streak intact, and now everyone’s wondering if she’ll be joining WWE Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live.
PWInsider reports that the current plan is for Asuka to be part of the women’s division on Raw. Even though Asuka is reportedly joining the Raw roster, she is set to appear as part of the WWE live event in Japan on Saturday which is SmackDown branded.
WWE will be promoting her main roster debut with a WWE Network Collection of Asuka matches which will be added to the streaming service in October.
