For years now the big angle in WWE has been The Bloodline storyline and things last left off with Jimmy Uso explaining why he prevented his brother Jey from defeating Roman Reigns at SummerSlam earlier this month.
Jimmy told Jey a few weeks ago on SmackDown that he didn’t want his brother to become corrupt with power, and he did what he did because he loves him. Jey Uso responded by hitting Jimmy with a superkick then declaring that he’s done with WWE before leaving through the crowd.
Last week was the first week in some time that The Bloodline was not the focus of SmackDown as no one from the group appeared on the show. Originally WWE was promoting Jimmy Uso’s return for this week’s episode of SmackDown, but it appears that Jimmy’s return has been pushed back as the segment is no longer being advertised on WWE’s official website.
Bray Wyatt unfortunately passed away earlier this week and it was reported that plans for tonight’s episode of SmackDown were expected to be changed following his passing. This appears to be one of the changes.
WWE is still advertising that Iyo Sky will defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Zelina Vega and Rey Mysterio will face Grayson Waller in a non-title match tonight. Stay tuned for updates.
