Royal Rumble weekend is almost here and fans are hoping to see some big surprises on Saturday. A number of notable names have been confirmed for the men’s Royal Rumble such as Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes, but one of WWE’s biggest stars, Seth Rollins, is currently sidelined due to injury.
While talking to Seth about WWE’s global expansion on First Take, ESPN’s Ryan Clark made an interesting comment regarding a potential Seth Rollins return at the Royal Rumble when he said, “Talk a little bit about the excitement of this sport expanding the way that it has, and you coming back off of injury to participate in the Royal Rumble.”
Seth Rollins then went on to deny that he will be entering the Royal Rumble when he replied, “Pump the brakes on me entering the Royal Rumble. I’m not there yet. I just had my rotator cuff done in October, I got a couple months left to go. I wish I could get myself in there, but that’s not going to be the case.”
The Visionary has been out of action since October due to a shoulder injury that he suffered while facing off against Cody Rhodes in the Crown Jewel main event. Rollins is still recovering from injury, but fans are weary when it comes to trusting Rollins after he pulled off a fake injury last summer and went on to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk at SummerSlam.
One way or another it seems that Seth will be looking to return in the coming months, but only time will tell exactly when he will be ready to step into the ring again.
