The Royal Rumble is quickly approaching and some big returns have been rumored for the event. Cody Rhodes has been out of action since June of last year, but it was confirmed this week on Monday Night Raw that The American Nightmare will be making his return at the Royal Rumble.
For weeks now WWE has been airing vignettes hyping up Cody’s return and a third video aired on Monday night. Near the end of the video Cody confirmed his status for the big show when he said, “At the Royal Rumble, I’m back.”
WWE later posted the following tweet confirming that Cody Rhodes will compete in the 30 man Royal Rumble match:
